Sally Rippin, the country's highest-selling female author, has been named the eighth Australian Children's Laureate. Congratulations, Sally!

Joining the likes of Alison Lester, Boori Monty Pryor, Morris Gleitzman and, most recently, Gabrielle Wang, Rippin will serve a two-year term as the national ambassador for children's literature, representing educators, librarians, booksellers and publishers.
