A story of a boy born two years after WW2 in the Russian occupied sector of Berlin, governed by the communist German regime and growing up in a city much of which lay in ruins and divided by Russian and Western Allies.It was a difficult period, but generally enjoying a happy and carefree childhood with affectionate, caring parents and grandparents.However, due to increasing personal hardship, social and political events, the family made the difficult decision to flee to the West for improved living conditions and freedom.That same year, the family migrated to Australia for an entirely new beginning, an incredible courageous decision to make.This was the beginning of an adventurous life, a dream throughout childhood, a dream of traveling the world to fascinating places that continued to this day.A story over seven decades through life, travelling to amazing places, experiencing true love, happiness and great friendships, also sorrow and utmost grieve.
