Fiona Lloyd is a Sydney based author who loves storytelling in all forms. She has worked many interesting jobs, such as a television colourist! Fiona has works in several anthologies for children and is a role model for the charity Books in Homes. Fiona is also a founding member of the Words On The Waves Writers Festival.
Being Jimmy Baxter is her debut middle-grade novel. It is a gently funny yet powerful coming-of-age middle grade novel about surviving the odds, unlikely friendships and the magical music of Elvis. It was listed as a Notable Book in the 2024 Children's Book Council of Australia - Book of the Year for Younger Readers.
